About The Gathering

The Gathering Server is a JKA game server.

The Gathering started form humble beginnings as Synn's Purple Palace

Synn created the Purple Palace on her home computer as an off shoot of her  then clan, Clan Purple. Crai approached Synn about Building on her server. After a time Crai and Synn became frustrated with the server it had few slots and Lagged out often. It was at this time Crai decided to rent an online Server from Mammoth Games. Crai started with a simple 18 slot server. Working with Synn he Imported all the Map entity files and Synn's Purple Palace was reborn as a 24/7 18 slot server.

The Server had been functioning for about a Month and Crai was noticing several issues the leading of which was Admin abuse and a general mistreatment of any none Clan Purple member. Crai promptly set about correcting this. The first thing he did was to Rename the server to The Gathering. This name is a reflection of what the server represents. A Gathering of People Young and Old from around the world that all enjoy JKA and the Star Wars Universe.  It wasn't long though before Crai discovered he had bit off more than he could chew. He still had Admin issues and abusive Players. This did not endear people to the server. From this chaos L.O.W was born. "Lord Of War"  or L.O.W for short was started as a Recruiting and Testing area for Admin's and Future Admin's. With a Steady hand and the help of some Dedicated people Control was restored. As the Servers Popularity grew  So did the L.O.W. In June of 2006 Crai Upgraded the Server to a 20 slot with team speak. He then purchased the www.thegatheringjka.com domain. In Late September Crai Turned control of L.O.W over to Synn. Crai's Job required traveling abroad where he does not have access to the internet. Crai also upgraded from the 1.1 Lugor mod to the T2 Lugor mod before he Left. While Crai was gone the L.O.W had several upsets starting with the loss of SYNN who left the JKA world to have another child and get Married. The L.O.W left directionless lost the reason of there foundation. Upon Crais return he found the server with only L.O.W players on it and many complaints of Abuse by the 17 plus admins from others clans, one of which was Purples. Seeing that his creation had back fired Crai removed all control from the L.O.W and started on a whole revamp of the server and forums. With some rule changes, the help of several dedicated people and the install of the U# mod The Gathering is slowlee coming back to its roots.

The Gathering server is dedicated to bringing clean wholesome Entertainment to all that wish to Participate.
